📺 The Ravens and Bills were by far the most popular Super Bowl picks last week. Thank you to those who sent in your early thoughts on Super Bowl LX!

Wolf Sports is on Youtube! We’ll have our first full content video with training camp storylines for all 32 teams dropping later today, but you can check out our intro video here. While we prefer writing, we’ll get better on-camera and hope you’ll consider subscribing to our channel!

✈️ Jets lock up Garrett Wilson

The Jets have agreed to sign star WR Garrett Wilson to a four-year, $130 million extension.

  • Wilson—the No. 10 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft—seemed like he could be on the outs with New York after voicing displeasure with how last season played out.

  • Instead, he gets a massive extension that includes $90 million guaranteed despite having played just three NFL seasons so far.

  • Wilson figures to see plenty of targets from new QB Justin Fields, his former Ohio State teammate—and he’s getting paid like it.

Now, attention will turn to All-Pro CB Sauce Gardner (drafted No. 4 in the 2022 NFL Draft), and the new regime for the Jets clearly wants to lock up homegrown players early.

🏈 Chargers rookies report first

By the middle of next week, every NFL team will have fully reported for training camp. First to report were the rookies for the Chargers on Saturday, and second-round rookie WR Tre Harris became the first official training camp holdout, as he’s still unsigned.

  • Harris isn’t alone among second-rounders without deals, as 30-of-32 second-round rookies have not signed their rookie deals.

  • This stems from the Texans essentially breaking “protocol” and signing WR Jayden Higgins to a fully guaranteed deal.

  • We’re not sure how many teams will budge quickly, so this will be interesting to track as camp gets underway.

Check the full training camp reporting dates for all 32 teams here.

🫡 Suh calls it a career

After 13 NFL seasons that included three All-Pro selections, a Super Bowl ring, and an NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award, Ndamukong Suh is officially hanging up his cleats.

  • Suh was the second overall pick by the Lions in 2010.

  • The 38-year-old hasn’t played since being signed by the Eagles during the 2022 season, but his career ends with 71.5 sacks across time with Detroit, Miami, the Rams, Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia.

  • In addition to his play on the field, Suh’s career was known for making a ton of money on contracts—racking up over $150 million during his time in the league.

🐻 Bears extend Ryan Poles

In one of the more surprising moves of the offseason, the Bears have locked up GM Ryan Poles through the 2029 season.

  • The move comes despite a 15-36 record across three seasons and a few questionable moves such as the Chase Claypool trade and getting rid of superstar LB Roquan Smith.

  • The thinking for Chicago is that they have their GM, HC (Ben Johnson), and QB (Caleb Williams) tied at the hip.

Overall, we’d expect Johnson to have a major say in personnel moving forward.
