Good morning! Our 2025 fantasy football draft guide is out on Amazon (or is available as part of a Fantasy Consigliere membership). Also, if you missed it, check out last week’s YouTube video about Bo Nix’s arm talent and subscribe to our channel! This week’s video (dropping at 9 AM ET) will dive into the best value in 2025 fantasy drafts.

This week’s Consigliere Corner dives into the intro from the draft guide, sharing how and why our freethinking player evaluations have given players an edge in fantasy leagues and contests.
Wolf Sports is known for providing top-tier NFL Draft analysis, and our natural eye for talent is what gives us—and you, preparing for a fantasy draft (or drafts) by reading this guide—a clear advantage over the rest of the fantasy football industry. In the introduction of last year’s guide, we mentioned consulting opportunities with NFL franchises and top talent agencies, and our scouting history was only bolstered by highlighting Bo Nix—at a time when he was completely mischaracterized as a prospect—in our conversations.
The reason we were able to hit on Nix and so many others is that we believe strongly in independent thinking. Many labeled Josh Allen a parody of a quarterback prospect. Lamar Jackson had a Super Bowl-winning general manager saying he should switch positions. Jalen Hurts was compared to Taysom Hill and discredited as a pure quarterback. Brock Purdy didn’t get invited to the Senior Bowl. And Nix—who had the second-longest pass in terms of air yards (67) in NFL Next Gen Stats history—was knocked for a supposed lack of arm talent and upside.
We saw things differently and were highest on them all. With that, let’s get into the draft guide. If you are also a hardcore fan that watches a ton of football like us, we recommend using our draft guide as just that: A guide. Maybe it will help you better organize your own thoughts.
And if you don’t have the time to watch that much of the sport but still love playing fantasy football, you can follow our analysis more by the book with confidence. We cannot predict the future, but you can trust that we offer original, independent thoughts and rankings that have historically provided a significant edge.
💣 Micah Parsons goes nuclear
“I no longer want to be here.” Cowboys star defender Micah Parsons has requested a trade, adding that he personally submitted his trade request to Stephen Jones.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he’d tell the fans, “don’t lose any sleep over it.”
Our guess? While Parsons obviously sound legitimately frustrated, this could be a situation where Jones all of a sudden offers him by far the biggest contract for a defensive player in NFL history, patching things up. Remember, it was somewhat of a stunner when Dallas announced they signed Dak Prescott to a $60 million per year deal which passed the previous record of $55 million per year by a surprising $5 million.
T.J. Watt was paid $41 million per year by Pittsburgh last month. Don’t be shocked if Jones suddenly blasts in with $45+ million per year and steals the headlines again.
More disgruntled stars to watch:
Bills RB James Cook, who appeared to be all-in while practicing throughout the spring and early training camp, suddenly decided to hold out of practice—simply answering “business” when asked by reporters about his status.
However, Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson—still seeking a new contract—reported to Bengals training camp and avoids additional $50K per day fines. That said, Hendrickson is not practicing while staging a “hold in.”

🌟 Hall of Fame (and the Game)
Hall of Fame week was kicked off by QB Trey Lance (13/20, 120 yards, two touchdowns) performing very well for the Chargers in their win against the Lions. Keep an eye on the former No. 3 overall pick in the draft, who is just 25 years old and getting coached up by Jim Harbaugh this year.
On Saturday, the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Antonio Gates, and Sterling Sharpe was enshrined in Canton.

💰 Happy players
Some players are extremely happy, with a few more big contract extensions across the league headlined by the Broncos signing DL Zach Allen to a four-year, $102 million deal.
Dolphins DT Zach Sieler, who had two years left on his current deal, signed a three-year extension through 2029.
The Raiders extended OT Kolton Miller on a three-year, $66 million extension.
Falcons OT Kaleb McGary signed a two-year, $30 million extension.

🏈 More player news
RB Latavius Murray is retiring from the NFL after a very good 10-year career. Murray had 8,172 yards from scrimmage and 61 touchdowns in his career, and his 6,552 career rushing yards rank sixth all-time among players drafted in the sixth round or later in the common draft era.
Injury news around the league:
Browns CB Martin Emerson is done for the season with a torn Achilles.
Dolphins CB Kader Kohou is out for the year with a torn ACL.
Lions CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (shoulder) is likely to be out “a while.”
Raiders S Lonnie Johnson Jr. suffered a broken leg.
